Convert AVIF to PDF
AVIF is a modern, compact image format that many document tools and PDF viewers still can't open. This tool puts each AVIF image onto its own PDF page, sized exactly to the image so nothing is cropped or stretched. Convert whole batches at once, and the page order follows your selection order. Your browser decodes each AVIF with a WebAssembly decoder, keeps the pixels lossless as PNG, and assembles the document with a local PDF engine — so your images never leave your device. No uploads, no watermarks, no usage limits, and it works offline once the codecs load. For animated AVIF, the first frame is used (a PDF page is static) and this is noted in the result. Because the conversion is lossless, a PDF built here can be larger than one made from JPG; if file size matters more, convert your AVIF to JPG first and put the JPGs into PDF.

Frequently asked questions
Are my AVIF files uploaded to a server?
No. AVIF decoding (via WebAssembly) and PDF assembly happen inside your browser from local files — good for sensitive images that shouldn't be sent anywhere.
What happens with animated AVIF?
A PDF page is static, so each animated AVIF is placed as its first frame and the result notes how many were animated. To keep the animation as motion, GIF or video is a better fit than PDF.
Why is my PDF bigger than expected?
PDF has no native AVIF support, so each image is decoded and embedded as lossless PNG to preserve every pixel. For smaller PDFs, convert your AVIF to JPG first with our AVIF to JPG tool, then put the JPGs into PDF.
How is the page size determined?
Each page exactly matches its image dimensions, so no cropping or letterboxing occurs. For uniform pages, convert images of the same size.
How many images can I convert at once?
Up to 200 per batch. Every image is decoded and losslessly embedded, so very large batches can exhaust browser memory — split them into a few smaller PDFs and combine the results with our Merge PDF tool.
